GoAtlas ("the App") is a mobile application that transforms your real-world walking and running activity into virtual journeys along iconic routes around the world.

GoAtlas is owned and operated by Deep Solutions ("Deep Solutions" жауапкершілігі шектеулі серіктестігі), a limited liability partnership registered in Kazakhstan (referred to collectively as "GoAtlas", "we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using GoAtlas, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue the use of our Services.

We are committed to complying with applicable international data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal and technical information necessary to operate and improve the GoAtlas application and related services. All information is collected lawfully, with your consent where required, and only for legitimate purposes.

1.1 Account Information

When you register or sign in using Google, Apple, or email, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifier. This information is used to create and maintain your account, sync your progress, and ensure secure access to the Services.

1.2 Health and Activity Data

GoAtlas integrates with Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android) to access activity data such as step count, walking and running distance, calories burned, and duration. These data are accessed only after you grant explicit permission through your device settings. We do not collect or store sensitive health data such as heart rate, sleep, or medical conditions unless you choose to share them. You may revoke access to health data at any time.

1.3 Location Data

If you enable location services, we may process location data to visualize routes, track your virtual progress, and display nearby or context-based achievements. Location information is processed only while the app is active or when background access is explicitly permitted by you. You can disable location access in your device settings.

1.4 Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect device and usage information such as device model, operating system, language settings, IP address, time zone, crash logs, and general usage metrics. These data help us ensure performance, compatibility, and security of the Services.

1.5 Subscription and Transaction Data

If you purchase a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, payment processing is handled entirely by those platforms. We do not collect or store payment card details. We receive limited transaction information, such as subscription type, start and renewal dates, and status, for the purpose of activating or managing your Premium access.

1.6 Optional and Support Data

When you contact support or voluntarily provide feedback, we collect the information you choose to share, including correspondence, attachments, or other identifiers, to assist you and improve our Services.

1.7 Data from Third-Party Integrations

If you connect GoAtlas with other platforms or integrations, such as Apple Health, Google Fit, or analytics services, we may receive data from those systems as permitted by your privacy settings. Use of data from such services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

We collect only the minimum information required to provide the Services and enhance user experience. You remain in control of your data and may adjust permissions or request deletion in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely for legitimate business and operational purposes related to the delivery of the GoAtlas Services. The main purposes are as follows.

2.1 Service Operation

To provide core functionality, including account management, progress synchronization, virtual route tracking, and display of achievements and milestones.

2.2 Personalization

To customize user experience, display relevant content and challenges, and adapt routes or notifications based on user preferences and activity data.

2.3 Communication

To send necessary notifications such as account updates, subscription information, progress summaries, and security alerts. Marketing or promotional communications are sent only with your consent, and you may opt out at any time.

2.4 Analytics and Improvement

To analyze aggregated usage data, identify technical issues, improve performance, and develop new features. Analytical processing is conducted using anonymized or pseudonymized data whenever possible.

2.5 Compliance and Safety

To comply with applicable laws, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity, and ensure the integrity and security of the Services.

2.6 Legal Obligations

To respond to lawful requests from authorities, resolve disputes, and protect the legal rights and safety of users, GoAtlas, and third parties.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose personal data for commercial purposes unrelated to the operation of GoAtlas.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or lease personal information to any third parties. Data may be shared only when necessary to operate the Services, comply with legal obligations, or protect legitimate interests, as described below.

3.1 Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to host, store, and process data on our behalf. These include cloud infrastructure, analytics, and communication tools. Each provider is contractually bound to process information securely and only for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

3.2 Platform Providers

When you access the Services through the App Store or Google Play, certain technical and transactional data are processed by those platforms in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.

3.3 Health and Activity Integrations

If you connect GoAtlas with Apple Health or Google Fit, data exchange occurs strictly according to the permissions you grant. We do not share your health or activity data with any other third party.

3.4 Analytics and Performance

We may use analytics platforms to understand aggregated usage trends, application performance, and feature engagement. Data used for analytics is anonymized or pseudonymized whenever feasible.

3.5 Legal and Regulatory Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.

3.6 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will ensure that any successor entity continues to handle data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

All third parties that receive personal information from GoAtlas are required to apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.

4.1 Account Data

Information associated with your account is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution or fraud prevention.

4.2 Health, Activity, and Location Data

Activity and location data obtained from Apple Health or Google Fit are stored only as long as needed to provide core Services such as route progress and statistics. These data are deleted or anonymized when you revoke permissions or delete your account.

4.3 Transaction Data

Subscription and payment-related records received from the App Store or Google Play may be retained for a legally mandated period to comply with accounting and tax obligations.

4.4 Technical and Log Data

System logs, diagnostics, and usage information are retained for limited periods necessary for troubleshooting, performance analysis, and security monitoring, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

4.5 Backups and Archives

Data backups are maintained solely for disaster recovery and security purposes. Backup copies are automatically deleted according to our retention schedules and are not used for any operational purpose.

After retention periods expire, personal information is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with any individual.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. We respect and facilitate the exercise of these rights in accordance with data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

5.1 Access and Portability

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to obtain a copy of that information in a commonly used electronic format.

5.2 Correction

You may request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal information associated with your account.

5.3 Deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time. Upon verification of your identity, we will delete your data unless retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes.

5.4 Objection and Restriction

You may object to or request restriction of the processing of your data in certain cases, including where processing is based on legitimate interest or direct marketing.

5.5 Withdrawal of Consent

Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

5.6 Data Portability

You have the right to request transfer of your personal information to another controller where technically feasible.

5.7 Filing Complaints

If you believe that your privacy rights have been violated, you may contact us directly or file a complaint with your local data protection authority. EU residents may contact their national supervisory authority for further guidance.

6. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures are designed to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with data processing.

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using industry-standard encryption protocols such as HTTPS and SSL/TLS. Sensitive information is encrypted both in transit and at rest where applicable.

6.2 Access Control

Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel who require it to perform their job duties. Internal access is managed through secure authentication and logging systems.

6.3 Infrastructure and Hosting

GoAtlas data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by reputable hosting partners who comply with recognized security and data protection standards. Regular monitoring and vulnerability assessments are performed to maintain system integrity.

6.4 Data Minimization

We collect and retain only the minimum amount of personal information required for legitimate operational purposes, thereby reducing potential risk exposure.

6.5 Incident Response

In the event of a data breach or security incident, we will promptly investigate, take necessary remedial actions, and notify affected users and regulatory authorities when required by applicable law.

While we maintain robust safeguards, no system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for securing their devices against unauthorized access.

7. Children's Privacy

GoAtlas is not directed to or intended for use by children under the age of 13, or under 16 in jurisdictions where a higher minimum age is required by law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child without such consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data.

Parents or legal guardians who permit their child to use the Services are fully responsible for the child's activity and any personal information provided in connection with that use.

8. International Data Transfers

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be processed in countries where data protection standards may differ, and you consent to such transfers as necessary for the operation of GoAtlas.
